April has been and gone here, and for the entirety of the month we were in isolation/lockdown with all of our activities and socialising cancelled. What a strange time we are living in at the moment! For me as a photographer trying to complete this 366 Project, all of this time at home has been an interesting challenge, and it has really encouraged me to look at my home differently to explore the best lighting and most interesting settings. Looking back to last year, I realise I took very few photographs in my own home, and getting my camera out was usually reserved for outings/trips/adventures. One positive thing about spending more time at home is I feel like I’m really capturing our ‘everyday life’ which is the theme of my project.
This month I also tried to get some self portraits, even though it felt very odd to do so as I’m definitely not as comfortable in front of the camera as behind it. I’ve ordered an intervalometer for my camera which I’m planning to learn how to use next month, and I hope that will help me to get some more candid self portraits!
Before we get to the highlights of this month, check out the shots from January, February and March to see how the rest of the year has looked!
Ok, now on to April!
