It’s been a hot minute since we got out our metal tub for Oscar to have a bath in. He went through a stage where he was obsessed with trying to climb out of the tub, so I gave it a rest as I could just see a disaster waiting to happen. But looking for entertainment one day a few weeks ago in isolation (you’d think as I’m not socialising at all I’d have time to actually post these photos soon after I took them, but I feel like I actually have less time for blogging now… explain that?) I hauled the tub out again when the sun was streaming in through the windows and Oscar got to enjoy a splash again.
If I can say one thing about this child, it’s that he loves the water. One day when we aren’t living in a seasonal climate anymore and we’re back in the tropics (our long-term plan) I can just imagine Oscar thriving in a space where he can spend most of the day cruising around nudie rudie playing with a hose and loving either a swimming pool or an outside bathtub. He will be in his element!
But for the moment, he’s got a big silver tub full of nice warm water, and a beautiful sunny day, and all the freedom in the world to splash to his heart’s content with his mum dutifully coming along behind him to soak up all the droplets with every single towel in the house!
Ah, the life of a toddler.
